    I was trying to record 6mins of output from Resolume with Syphon recorder but the recording seemed to always stop around 45secs. The framerate would drop to about 1 frame per 20 secs.

    After a while I discovered that the only way to keep this from happening is by having the Syphon recorder in focus at all time. If I switch to something like Resolume or Ableton the issue appears.

    There wasn’t anything particularly heavy in processing so my my computer should be able to keep up. Hardware is the latest MBP with GT 750M, running OSX Mavericks.

    I was recording 60fps but going down to 25fps didn’t make a difference either. The issue was consistent also after a system reboot.
